It is also worth mentioning the distinction between a fireproof welding and a thermal welding blanket. The thermal welding blanket is used to progressively lower the temperature of the welded elements, thus achieving optimum welding quality.

While they all have in common their high resistance to fire and heat, each type of fire-retardant blanket has technical specifications that make it unique and effective for a particular task.
