The beginning of the cold months has coincided with the opening of the new Rehabilitation and Social Reinsertion Centre and Shelter House in L’Eliana of the Non-Governmental Organization for Development (NGOD) REMAR, aimed at mothers with children and/or mistreated, married couples or people with any problem.
Textil Batavia has contributed its grain of sand, donating more than 300 meters of corduroy, cotton and wool fabric, among others, to this non-profit organization.
As Isaias and Estíbaliz, the people in charge of the project, explained to us, the fabric will be used to make curtains, blankets and upholstery to offer greater comfort to the homes and daily life of the people staying there.
At the moment REMAR is working on social programs aimed at the family, the elderly and people affected by AIDS, among others. In 70 countries.
A small contribution, which we hope will help the most disadvantaged to live better
